The Hiring Manager for this role is Marcel Beerden, Manager- AI & Data, Product, Pricing & Procurement. His leadership is about challenging his team every day and by empowering them to learn and grow.
Your role & influence as Data Engineer
Responsibility:
You will be given responsibility to get value from this data to the organization in the shape of reliable data solutions that automates and optimizes core business functions. Examples of this could be optimizing stock levels, setting correct prices, or optimizing content relevance for marketing.
Core activities:
- Develop and enhance the organization's data platform to maximize value extraction from data.
- Collaborate within a central team of data engineers to construct essential building blocks for data applications.
- Utilize these building blocks hands-on to create applications within cross-functional teams, emphasizing experimentation and continuous learning, primarily using Python and SQL within the Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks stack.

This is what we imagine you bring
We envision you as a curious and driven individual who thrives on adopting new technologies and solutions, is a strong communicator, adept at problem-solving, and possesses hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Azure Data Lake, with knowledge of alternatives like Google BigQuery or Snowflake being highly valued.
Additionally, it's important that:
- You know SQL and Python, have experience of Spark, knows ETL as well as DevOps practices and CI/CD when it comes to data
