Your role & influence as Legal Counsel

Responsibility: You will be given responsibility for advising on EU regulations and developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust compliance framework to support the company’s tech and regulatory governance.

Collaboration: Together with your team, you take care of regulatory tech governance, ensuring compliance and innovation align seamlessly. You'll work closely not only with your immediate team members but also with departments such as Business Development, E-commerce, Tech, Procurement, and HR.

Core activities: 

• Investigate legal issues and provide expert guidance, coaching, and direct support on EU regulations and data compliance to ensure alignment with evolving legal requirements across the business.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain a comprehensive legal framework for data compliance, driving proactive governance and adaptability in a rapidly changing regulatory landscape.
• Promote awareness and foster a culture of compliance by sharing knowledge, conducting training, and serving as a trusted advisor to the business on complex legal and regulatory challenges.

Additionally, it's important that:

• You have a bachelor's degree level of working and thinking, with a European law degree.
• You have senior experience of working with EU regulations such as the GDPR, NIS Directive, AI Act, or the Data Act.
• You bring an understanding of and interest in technology related to legal compliance and data governance.
• You are fluent in English, with the ability to effectively perform your work entirely in English.
